St. Giles
Association, situated in Kensington, Johannesburg,
offers accommodation and care to 50 disabled adults from 18 years and
older.
Our residents are disabled by accidents, strokes, congenital
conditions and
acquired degenerative illnesses. Most of our residents have medical needs and for this reason St. Giles employs a full time and experienced Matron who manages a team of nursing staff and care workers. Medical care is provided on a 24 hour basis. The nurses and care workers also assist residents with activities of daily living like bathing, toiletry requirements, dressing, feeding and transferring from wheelchairs. Residents are transported to Johannesburg General Hospital for routine medical examinations as well as medication. |
